David Unaipon Award
Named in honour of David Unaipon (1872-1967), the first Indigenous author to be published, this annual literary competition is now in its 15th year. The competition is open only to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors who have not been published. The winning entrant receives a guarantee of publication by University of Queensland Press and $15,000 prize money.
