Bachelor of Education (Regional and Remote)

The Bachelor of Education Regional and Remote (BERR) program is specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who wish to become primary school teachers.

The program runs for four years and includes the content of a mainstream Bachelor of Education Primary but has a focus on Indigenous education in regional and remote schools.

We run the course on block release which means you come to Curtin University's Bentley campus for seven fortnight intensive sessions and spend the rest of your time working and studying in your home community.

In the past, the BERR program was only for AIEOs and others who already had a background in education. However, we now welcome all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to take part.
