Overview
Staff at the Centre know that students need support while studying. Our main objective is to ensure that all Indigenous students, whether past, current or prospective; and whether CAS-based or in mainstream courses, have access to the right facilities, advocacy and advice. We offer support to students in their academic, cultural and personal pursuits and responsibilities, so that they are in the best position possible to succeed in their education.
The facilities and services available include:
- Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme
- Resource library
- Computer Lab
- Student common rooms and study rooms
Centre staff can also offer advice about:
- Childcare assistance
- Accommodation
- Career Counselling
- Liaison with staff of other schools
The Centre is also the hub of a vibrant community life which has cultural, social and recreational connections beyond the university.
Scholarships
A number of scholarships are available for Indigenous students.
