Centre Services
A range of practical support is available free of charge to students at the Centre.
The Resource Library and study area provide a pleasant environment for reading and research.
The Centre's computer lab has computers with internet access available for Indigenous students to use for research and to work on assignments. Tutors are available to help students to develop their skills in this area. The lab is open from 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, and Student Services staff can issue after hours passes if students need access at other times.
The student common room functions as the main meeting place for students. Facilities include comfortable chairs, a sink, a fridge, a microwave oven and an urn. Student pigeonholes and noticeboards help everyone to keep in touch with events in the Centre.
Postgraduate students have their own room and teaching facilities. Each postgraduate student has their own computer and modem that they take with them when doing their field work. They are then able to keep in touch with their supervisors and each other online.
Small tutorial rooms are also available for students' personal tuition sessions.
All these facilities are housed in close proximity to each other within the Centre.
